Fitness Fashion Faux Pas: What NOT to Wear to the Gym

We all know that comfort is key when it comes to fitness clothing.
But just because something is comfortable doesn't mean it's appropriate to wear to the gym.
To help you avoid any embarrassing fashion faux pas, we've compiled a list of what NOT to wear to your workouts.

TOO TIGHT
Wearing clothes that are too tight or too loose: You want your fitness clothes to fit well, so they don't get in the way of your movements.

BAGGY
Avoid anything that's too constricting or too baggy, as this can be uncomfortable and unflattering.

TOO REVEALING
Wearing clothes that are too revealing: It's important to be mindful of your gym's dress code, as well as your own comfort level. Save the skimpy workout clothes for the privacy of your own home, and opt for something more modest when you're at the gym.

DRAB

Wearing clothes that are too old or worn out: Old, ratty clothes may be comfortable, but they're not exactly inspiring. Invest in some new fitness wear and you'll feel more motivated to hit the gym.

Getting yourself to the gym requires motivation, but believe it or not, what you wear plays a big part in your success. Baggy sweats and old worn-out  T-shirts may be comfortable, but are usually the wrong choice for the gym. Choosing the right workout clothes and accessories, on the other hand, can wick away sweat, smell less, display movements clearly, and protect sensitive skin.

By avoiding these fitness fashion mistakes, you'll be able to focus on your workouts without any distractions.

Happy sweating!
